Section 2c.  Components of Wound Healing

  1. Cells and their roles

The cells in the wound are the factors for this new tissue formation making all the components of epithelial matrix and dermis. In addition, cells such as the epithelial restore surface barriers. The macrophages and platelets release the chemical messages that guide the production of new tissue from their cell factors.
